After establishing himself on the European scene with acclaimed albums - Explorers, Following the Sun and Lost Media - and collaborations with Dayna Stephens, Aaron Parks and Romain Pilon, Valet steps into a new artistic era that embraces beat-making, improvisation and the communal spirit of the cypher.
Alongside four of the most distinctive voices on the Paris scene - bassist Kate Curly, saxophonist Melvin Marquez, drummer Tilo Bertholo, and pianist/keyboardist Carl-Henri Morisset - the group navigates between structured writing and open improvisation, letting ideas unfold naturally on stage.
Fresh off a series of Paris club residencies and ahead of their debut recording session with special guests including Braxton Cook and Monomite, Alexis Valet & The Cypher bring one of Europe’s most forward-thinking jazz projects to London for a high-voltage, genre-blurring performance.
